Thank you, we get the information from anywhere we can dig up. Lots of the best stuff comes from books like squadron signal and monographie.

Except for Flight Replica's 109's all of our planes have gun sounds and tracer effects that work using the afterburner command.

It would be easy to do. Just some text editing to the aircraft.cfg lights section, and adding the gauge in the panel.cfg. As of now I have not developed the files myself.

Jesse...I bought A2A's B-17 and within two days had to UPGRADE to your B-17 fast.  What a masterpiece!! Two words describe a B-17..... flying and fortress.  Sure A2A got the "flying" part, a glider flys but forgot the biggest part of all "fortress".  The guns and bombs is what the flying fortress is all about.  To make the guns move and the bombs drop brings totally the plane to life! I immediatly wanted to record several planes in formation all using guns and dropping bombs but after recording 1 plane doing this and using FSX recorder and use traffic mode the recorded plane turrets didn't move after recording them doing so just the plane being flown by player did.  Can this be done?  Please advise.  Anyway thanks for a beautiful job on the queen of the sky.

Thanks for the great input.
I have a confession to make. I have never used FS Recorder lol. I have very little clue how it works. Now this is pure speculation but If I had to guess a gauge would need to be created that randomly controlled the guns and bombs. Even then FSX is peculiar about what is displayed on AI and Multiplayer planes. Maybe there is a way to get the AI to mimic your own plane? I’d certainly like to know the answers to this myself, but I think someone with a little more expertise is needed. I’d suggest posting this at www.sim-outhouse.com/ or some other place that has more board traffic. Maybe someone with more experience with recordings and mission creation can help out.

Just for the record I accidentally deleted AceShot as a member. There was no drama or reason except I accidentally deleted a lot of people that had not posted in a long time.

I realize this is a long time after the question was originally posted, but I think the information might be helpful to others.

The recorder module only records actions that are common to AI controlled aircraft. Things like flaps, gear, smoke, etc. You can get a complete list by looking at the settings menu in Recorder menu. There is a total of 12 items that are recorded. The turrets and guns on the B-17 (and any other plane that has the effect set up) will not be recorded. The only way you could would be to set up the gun firing as a smoke effect.

The creator of the FS Recorder module is working on a new version of the program and it might have the ability to keep track of more events.
